Niraj Shah and Steve Conine created a company that helps bridge the gap between what’s available and what people want to buy by allowing shoppers to shop online. With ordering capabilities, this helps retailers reach more people who would otherwise not be able to purchase a product with their budget or in limited-time periods.
Niraj and Steve jumped in to what people were searching for on the internet and built destination sites, where customers could find everything from a chair to a birdhouse. Eventually, they created CSN Stores with more than 200 stores.
Wayfair.com offers millions of products for all your home needs under a single roof. It was created in 2011 alongside many other brands related to home furnishings.
What does the Wayfair company do?
When we first opened our doors, our logo was just two words. Over time, as with most branding projects, our guests took it upon themselves to help give the pinwheel logo more meaning, purpose, and a greater sense of value than we could have dreamt up on our own.
With our rigorous expansion plan in place, we were able to set up distribution centers in Canada, the United Kingdom and Germany while expanding our logistics and infrastructure network that enabled fast shipping of large items worldwide. Our previously unknown company was now a household name.
